Alberto Luis Martínez Mateo is a Doctor of Medicine and Surgeon with extensive experience as an
Orthopedic Traumatologist. He is also a specialist in Spinal Surgery and
Deformities.
Dr. Martínez has many years of experience providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to patients with acute and chronic conditions of the musculoskeletal system, and applying preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative measures.
He graduated from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) with a Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his specialty studies in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same university. Dr. Martínez has a Master’s Degree in Human Anatomy and Embryology, a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery and Bone Deformities obtained at the Pontificia Javeriana University in Cali, Colombia, and training in Spinal Bone Tumors.
Dr. Martínez has served as Chief Resident at the Doctor Darío Contreras University Teaching Hospital and as Chief Resident in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same hospital. He has also worked as a Doctor of Spinal Surgery and Bone Deformities at the Imbanaco Clinic in Cali, Colombia. He has also been a professor of anatomy and physiology at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) and has worked as a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology at the Universal Medical Center, Independecia Clinic, and Doctors Clinics Punta Cana.
Dr. Martínez has participated in numerous medical conferences and has received awards for his work and professional excellence in the Dominican Republic.
